Made using upcycled rope offcuts from sailing yachts and riggers around my local area; Hamble.

Lara // Always Crafting

Hello and welcome – I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Lara (a.k.a. Lala) – the hands, heart, and slightly salty hair behind LaLa Leads. Thanks for stopping by!

I love spending as much time adventuring and playing with my partner Matt and our gorus little boy, Rupert. In the summer, I work on boats around Hamble, where I began collecting discarded rope cut-offs from local riggers. Rather than letting this strong, beautiful rope go to waste, I started turning it into dog leads, collars, and other bits. A big shoutout to Ocean Ropes for supplying much of the rope I use – thank you for helping keep materials out of landfill and in use!

I’m also a bit of a serial crafter. I love beachcombing for sea glass, shells, and treasures, and creating art from what I find.

When winter rolls in, you’ll find me in the mountains working as a private ski instructor and guide in Méribel, France – a place I love with all my heart. If you’re curious about my snowy adventures, come follow along at @laraskicom.

Whether on the water or the slopes, I’m passionate about the outdoors and protecting this beautiful planet of ours. Every upcycled product I make is a small step toward sustainability – and I’m so grateful you're part of that journey.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy using my products as much as I love making them.

With love,
Lala xxx
